The Berklee Global Jazz Institute (BGJI) is a performance program designed to foster creativity and musicianship through various musical disciplines, with pianist and composer Danilo Pérez as its artistic director. Inner Cirle In this final recording with pianist Michel Petrucciani, saxophonist Grossman's usually more extroverted tendencies are willingly sublimated in order to play more romantically inclined mainstream jazz. Many of the tunes are ballads, embellished by Petrucciani's languid or forceful pianistics, while solid bassist Andy McKee and drummer Joe Farnsworth keep the flickering flame alive with their steadying rhythms. Steve Grossman est au sax-ténor, Michel Petrucciani est au piano, Andy McKee est à la contrebasse. C'est lui qui a écrit cette ballade poignante comme le sont parfois les ballades. Le titre ? "Inner Circle". Joe Farnsworth est à la batterie, tendance fine, subtile. Un groupe d'inconditionels de Coltrane sot allé jusquà sanctifier Coltrane en lu érigeant sa propre église à San Fancisco aux Etats Unis : The Church of John Coltrane, located in the Fillmore District of San Francisco, recognizes legendary jazz artist John Coltrane as a saint. This church was founded in 1971, and it features the music and lyrics of Coltrane in its services. amy Listening to Coltrane`s 1964 masterpiece "A Love Supreme" is a spiritual endeavor akin to reading the Bible or attending a performance of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
